This activity is designed to get kids outside and looking out for signs of CRB. While the CRB Response field team is able to monitor the 3,000+ traps we have deployed across Oahu, we're not able to search every area regularly. Knowing what to look for and how to report signs of CRB is a great way to help prevent the spread of this invasive species!

To complete a scavenger hunt:

  1. Visit www.crbhawaii.org/scavenger-hunt to download a scavenger hunt sheet and watch a recorded explanation of the activity.

  2. Complete your scavenger hunt for invasive coconut rhinoceros beetles in your neighborhood.

  3. Take a photo of your completed scavenger hunt and email it to info@crbhawaii.org. If you find any CRB adults, larvae, or tree damage, make sure to include photos of those, too. You'll receive a special bonus activity!
