Panel Traps with Pheromone Lure

Netting

Palms

Netting can be placed in the crown of palms to be used as a detection tool by entangling and excluding CRB as they access the crown of palms to feed.

Limit: 5 kits (~1 kit/tree)

Breeding Material

Netting can be placed over breeding material to create a trap. Beetles will get stuck in the net when they try to get into the material to breed or when they try to leave the material when they emerge as adults.

Limit: 2 kits (1 (~8'x20') net/kit)

The CRB Community Resource Program helps communities impacted by CRB. This includes handing out materials to detect and control CRB such as netting, traps and pesticides. We can distribute this to communities in areas that are not a part of an active eradication program i.e when the community is responsible for control and management efforts. As of January 2026, that includes all areas of Oahu and Kauai. While we can help with distributing the product, we are unfortunately not able to perform the treatments themselves. However, we can help with guidance and recommendations to find a treatment plan based on your situation. We can also arrange an informational session for your neighborhood.

The CRB Community Resource Program is funded by the State of Hawai'i through Act 236.
